Eastern Plains Economic Development Corporation (EPEDC) was the proud recipient of the Montana Department of Commerce Pilot Tourism Grant in 2025. Executive Director Terra Burman alongside Tourism Project Manager and Community Development Specialist Jaime Shanks have worked strategically with nearly 100 local stakeholders and a committed, diverse steering committee throughout Year 1.
Glendive Gateway Commons/Glendive Tourism Hub is funded through the Montana Department of Commerce Pilot Community Tourism Grant Program. This funding was authorized by the 2023 Montana State Legislature Senate Bill 540 and funded by Montana’s Lodging Facility Use Tax, commonly known as the Bed Tax.
Big Ideas, Real Impact.
GTA Tower Mural: Downtown Glendive's GTA Tower is currently getting a new look. Muralist Griffin Foster, along with assistant Matthew, is bringing color and character to the tower as part of Glendive Gateway Commons. The mural will be complete in October 2026 and is expected to be the largest mural in Montana, an instant place-maker for downtown Glendive.

Moving into Year 2
With the mural underway, Year 2 turns to development of the lot itself. That includes a branding reveal for Glendive, a Downtown Revitalization Plan, and Hub development covering infrastructure, greenspace, a stage, and rental opportunities for the community.
